Meet Charlie

Dr. Charlie Sevier, PT, DPT, OCS was born and raised north of Winston-Salem, in King, North Carolina. He received his bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Appalachian State University. Charlie then went on to earn his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Wingate University in North Carolina. Following graduation, Charlie completed an orthopedic residency through the NxtGen Institute of Physical Therapy, and has become a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist through the APTA.

Charlie brings a hands-on approach to physical therapy, believing that manual therapy is key to personal connections and successful rehabilitation. He has practiced manual techniques including spinal mobilizations and manipulations, dry needling, myofascial cupping, scraping techniques, and myofascial referral techniques. Charlie also believes in providing strong patient education as a part of his therapy approach to empower those he works with to better help themselves through the power of exercise. Throughout his career in outpatient physical therapy, Charlie has treated patients ranging in ages from 4 to 100 years old, as well as all body parts and systems. He has a desire to continue learning various therapy techniques to better serve and help those he is working with.

Charlie loves spending time with his wife Amie, daughter Charlotte, and son Gabe whether it is outdoors, cheering on his favorite teams, or out and about in town.
